THE Ukrainian Ambassador to Ireland, Gerasko Larysa, made a visit to Tralee this week.
The Ambassador met with learners and staff from across Kerry Education and Training Board (Kerry ETB).
One of the highlights of the event was a performance by the Ukrainian folk choir from Killarney, which notably included students from Kerry College. Their harmonious melodies resonated through the venue, embodying the rich cultural creativity that both Ukraine and Ireland offer.

Kerry ETB’s Further Education and Training locations, including Kerry College have provided comprehensive support to over 3,000 Ukrainian learners, with a particular focus on English language proficiency.
Central to the gathering were the Ukrainian students from Coláiste Gleann Lí and Kerry College, who bravely shared their personal stories of integration and the positive experiences they have encountered since arriving in Kerry.
Kerry ETB has been instrumental in providing essential support and services families looking for school places for their children.
The Regional Education and Language Team within the ETB has placed Ukrainian students who have arrived in Kerry into primary and secondary schools across the county. The team has played a pivotal role in facilitating the integration of these students into the local educational system.
Ambassador Gerasko Larysa conveyed her heartfelt gratitude to the people of Kerry, especially the management and staff of Kerry ETB, for their unwavering support and hospitality towards Ukrainian nationals.
