VALENTIA Observatory reported two ‘tropical nights’ in July.
Met Eireann released its climate statement for last month which revealed on the nights of Wednesday, July 21 and Thursday, July 22, the temperature was above 20 degrees, a very rare occurrence in Ireland.
Valentia also reported its highest July maximum temperature since 1976 with 28.3°C on Thursday, July 22.
THERE will be walk-in vaccinations available again this weekend at Kerry’s two vaccination centres.
These first-dose COVID-19 vaccinations will be available to anyone aged 16 and over who has not already received a vaccine.
They can attend Kerry Sports Academy, Tralee on Saturday from 9.15am to 11am or on Sunday at the Killarney Sports and Leisure Centre from 10 to 11am.
First doses of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine will be offered at the two locations. Second doses will not be available. The walk-in facility is only open to people who have not already received any dose of a vaccine.
