A ROAD race will take place in Tralee next week to support Mary Gardiner’s 100km in 30 days campaign for Breast Cancer Ireland.

Michelle Greaney from MG Coaching is organising the run which takes place on Friday, June 24 at 7pm in Blennerville. The route takes runners from the bridge at Blennerville, over Lohercannan, out to the Lock Gates and back to the bridge via the canal.

Local Garda Mary has already raised over €10,000 in her campaign and has completed over 75k of the total so far this month.

Registration is on the day with the funds going straight into Mary’s fundraiser. You can see the route here https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/57730579

Mary was diagnosed with  breast cancer back in January and has already undergone chemotherapy treatment. She is facing surgery and other treatments in the coming months.

“I’m absolutely thrilled Michelle is organising the run,” said Mary. “Michelle has already been a great supporter of charities over the years and when she heard I was doing the 100k fundraiser she was one the first to contact me to organise something. All the funds go towards Breast Cancer Ireland to help others.”
