The weekend is upon us once again and it’s a special one if you’re a little person. Besides the prospect of Easter eggs, the Tír na nÓg family festival is in full swing and there’s plenty to do over the next few days…
EASTER SATURAY
1. Caball Toymaster on Bridge Street will host puppet shows, which will take place from 10.30am to 12.30pm. To keep the party going, throughout the day the store will be holding free draws for the chance to get your hands on some Easter Eggs.
It looks like it will be a busy one so it is advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
2. Get dressed up and bring your running (and dancing) shoes…
There will be lots of fun with numerous activities taking place in the Tralee Town Park between 12pm and 3pm. There will be dancing with Linda Flanagan from Zumba Kerry while the Garvey’s Supervalu sponsored u12’s Kids Fancy Dress Fun Run will get under way at 1pm. Disney characters will also be on show along with face-painting, Easter Eggs and music with a post-run disco. Prizes will be awarded to the best costumes.
This event has proved to be very popular in the past so if you would like to attend, you can register by getting a form from Tralee Chamber Alliance, 18 Denny Street, Tralee. Tickets are only €5 per child (Adults are free), adult supervision is required especially with younger children, and forms must be returned by end of Friday, March 25.
