IT’S regarded as the social highlight of the year and once again it lived up to its reputation.
The Rose Ball saw over 1,300 people converge on the Dome for a fantastic night of glamour, food and great entertainment.
There was the usual champagne reception for guests — who paid €160 a head for their tickets — as they entered the venue.

After a spectacular opening act they sat down to their starter of goat’s cheese, black pudding and citrus and Dingle Gin cured smoked salmon, a champagne sorbet, a choice of fillet of hake or fillet steak for mains followed by dessert of panna cotta with raspberry gel, ginger nut crumb and chocolate chard.
Music came from ‘Brass & Co’ while DJ Chris Shortt had everyone dancing into the night. The Roses and their escorts hugely enjoyed the night as did everyone else attending. We’ll bring you all the style over the next two days. Scroll down for photos…
