THE location was kept top secret for obvious reasons, but all was literally revealed on Sunday as Recovery Haven hosted a most unusual fundraiser.
Around 170 women gathered at Derrymore beach early this morning for ‘Dip in The Nip Kerry’. The Cancer Support facility joined forces with Fenit-based Wild Water Adventures for the fundraiser which saw the ladies bare all for a swim in the sea.
The event was only open to women – including those who have experienced cancer themselves, those who are supporting a friend or family member on their cancer journey or those who wanted to remember and honour a loved one who they have lost to the disease.

The location of the event was kept top secret until a few days beforehand and all enjoyed a morning filled with music, refreshments and some also some great prizes up for grabs after the dip.
Women of all ages took part and paid the €40 registration fee. Photographer Valerie O’Sullivan was invited to take some photos which you can see below…
