THE inaugural ‘Automobili Italia Tralee’ car show was a huge success this weekend with cars and motorcycles filling the FBD Insurance/Peevers Slye Cotter car park on Dan Spring Road on Friday and Saturday.
Families and car enthusiasts took photos in front of Ferraris, a Maserati, Lamborghinis, many fancy Alfa Romeo models and vintage Lancias which further added a touch of class to the event.
One of the cars present was nearly 100 years old. Noel Callaghan from Mallow brought down a 1924 Fiat 501c.

The car actually belongs to Noel’s young son Eric, after it was gifted to him by his grandfather, who bought and restored the car 30 years ago.
On Saturday morning the large group headed off on a tour of West Kerry before returning to the Rose Hotel for a social evening.
Funds were also raised for the Irish Wheelchair Association over the two days. There are now hopes to expand the event into a full festival celebrating the food and music of Italian culture in the town. Scroll down for photos…
