PLAYERS, club officials and the greater Austin Stacks family gathered at Siamsa Tire on Wednesday night for the premiere of ‘2014: A Rockumentary’.
The DVD, put together by Rory Kirby, tells the story of Austin Stacks triumphant year in the wake of 2013’s disappointment of losing the County Final to Dr Crokes.

It features player interviews, match footage and, of course, the Stacks fans who lit up the championship this year.
Hundreds turned up at Siamsa despite the bad weather to catch a first look at the DVD in a special screening.
Just prior to the screening, we asked its creator, Rory Kirby, how long it took him to do the project.
“I suppose it was 19 years in the making,” joked Rory. “It was a big project and a lot of work went into it, a few late nights,” he said.
“The story I’ve focused on is that Stacks won it in 1994 and then there was a drought. Then later Wayne [Quillinan] came in, changed things around and moved things forward. Then Stephen Stack carried on the development and finished the job,” said Rory.
“It should be a great night and I’m looking forward to it,” said Rory.
