THE Sinn Fein TD for Kerry, Pa Daly, has again called for capacity issues on the 272 bus route from Ballybunion to Tralee to be addressed.

Deputy Daly said that students have been left behind again at Munster Technological University due to the 272 bus being almost full on arrival at campus.

“The bus leaves the station at approximately 5.20pm and arrives at campus at approximately 5.40pm, and I have learned a number of students were left behind this week,” he said.

“After myself and Cllr Tom Barry highlighted this last year, a meeting took place with Bus Éireann management where they agreed to put on a larger bus.”

“However, I understand this larger bus is now in use on another route, and will not be used for the full term. Bus Éireann have said that they had made the NTA aware of the situation, and have claimed they are not responsible.

“I will raise this with the Minister for Transport at the earliest opportunity,” he said.
