Mike Kennedy Selected As Kerry’s Labour Party Candidate For General Election

WEST Kerry man, Mike Kennedy, has been selected by the Labour Party to be their candidate in Kerry in the upcoming general election.

He was selected at the Kerry Labour Party convention last night at The Brandon Hotel. Mr Kennedy originally comes from Garfiney, two miles east of Dingle town. He has an auctioneering & real estate business in Dingle town  since 2016.

The 41 year old  is married to Grainne Harcksen from Tralee and they have four children. Mr Kennedy was a candidate in the Kerry County Council elections in June but did not win a seat.

“What I would say to the people of Kerry is your vote in this general election is vital. You will decide the future direction of our county and our country is going to take,” he said.

“I’m running for the Labour Party because I believe our government needs to do more to help ordinary working families and I am motivated by the Labour values of fairness, decency, and equality,” said Mr Kennedy.
