JUST over 100 participants hit the streets on May bank holiday Monday to take part in the Rotary Club’s, 10k ‘Run Kingdom Run’ event.
All proceeds from the event went to the Live Life Foundation. This is the second year the Rotary Club has organised this event.
Donal Walsh’s mother, Elma, was there to hand out medals and prizes to those that competed.
“It’s a tough course, but very doable, everyone is delighted that they finished,” said Denis Hanafin, Tralee Rotary Club.
“We’ve had about the same numbers as last year, the weather over the weekend wasn’t great so that might have put a few off. It was looking dodgy this morning, but we’re thrilled with the number that turned out in the end,” said Denis.
The course started in the Brandon Hotel, then went up Tonevane, up by Ballard, then back to the Brandon for the home stretch.
