THAT was cold.
It was a very chilly Sunday morning for the runners in the Kerry’s Eye Tralee International Valentines Weekend 10 Mile Road Race yesterday.
A crowd of around 400 took part in the sellout event which was run over a section of the full and half-marathon route to give runners a flavour of what to expect from the Tralee International Marathon and Half-Marathon which takes place on Saturday, March 18.
They were a colourful lot too with some dressing up in pinks and reds for the weekend that was in it as they set out at 10am.
Derek Griffin won the men’s race followed by Ian Kelly and Don Hayes, while Deirdre Nagle was the first woman home with Michelle O’Regan in second and Dolores Duffy third. Scroll down for photos…
