THE Tralee tourist information kiosk, which is now in its fourth year of operations, last week closed the door again until next summer, but not before it enjoyed one of its most fruitful seasons yet.
The kiosk, located in the very heart of the town, was manned by 32 volunteers over the summer period, with each volunteer helping to provide information to visiting tourists on everything and anything that they might need to know about the county capital.
Our less than perfect weather this summer was certainly not an issue for tourists it seems with this year proving to be a great success in terms of visitors to attractions such as the Aquadome, Museum and the Wetlands centre.
It’s a great service and well done to the volunteers and all at Tralee Chamber Alliance for manning it.
