It’ll be frosty later again.

Lowest temperatures will be 0 to -5 degrees but we’ll escape the worst of it down here, as it will be coldest in Leinster. The warning was issued at 11am and is valid from 6pm this evening until noon tomorrow so be careful driving, cycling or walking outdoors later.

This  afternoon they also issued a Code Level Orange alert for dense fog.  Fog is expected to be dense in Kerry overnight and is expected to linger in some areas until noon tomorrow.

Kerry County Council is asking motorists to drive with extra care, to use fog lights as required and to allow additional time for journeys. Pedestrians and cyclists should wear high-visibility clothing, use lighting and take due care if they are out and about.
