Anticipation Builds Ahead Of The Kerry SHC Final This Sunday

Ballyduff and Abbeydorney square off in the Garveys Super Valu Kerry hurling final on Sunday and it is the first time these two sides have met in the final.

Abbeydorney are hoping to bridge a 50 year gap in winning the game and it’s 19 years since the contested a final. On that occasion they lost in 2005 to Lixnaw after a replay.

Ballyduff lie second in the champions roll of honour behind Kilmoyley. Ballyduff came through a tough semi-final encounter with Kilmoyley after being taken to extra time.

Abbeydorney had a comfortable victory over Ballyheigue in their semi-final led by Michael O’Leary, Oisin Maunsell and Ronan Donovan and James O’Connor at the back.

Ballyduff relied on a mixture of youth and experience through their campaign with Jack Goulding, Padraig Boyle and Luke Rochford to the fore.
