THE railings at the Town Park will resemble those at St Stephen’s Green in Dublin this summer in a new initiative to bring even more colour to the area.
Tralee Chamber Alliance is organising an outdoor exhibition space called ‘Art in the Park Tralee’.
This event will provide artists an opportunity to exhibit and sell their work in the heart of Tralee town centre on Denny Street and Ivy Terrace.

Artists will be allowed to display artworks on the railings of the town park. Each space is indicated by a letter/number attached to the railing and measures 9ft by 4.5 ft.
This provides artists the opportunity for visitors to view their artwork and the public are given on opportunity to meet with the artists and learn about their work.
Artists are only licensed to exhibit original artworks and the public can purchase original art directly from the artist. You can exhibit drawings, paintings, prints, photography and artworks are not required to be framed.
Art in the Park would provide an opportunity for artists to socialise, network and to gain from visitors, patrons and colleagues both encouragement and critique in the summer months and other seasonal events.
The first event is scheduled for the first Saturday in June from 11am – 5pm and then it will run every Saturday until the end of August.
The organisers are asking artists who would like to exhibit in June to register before May 11. Cost of registration is €50 and this will cover indemnity insurance of €30 and promotional costs of €20.
If any artist who wishes to register or requires further information, registration form is on the Tralee.ie website or you can contact Mary Greene, Arts and Events Officer at the Tralee Chamber Alliance at artsofficer@tralee.ie
