PEIL FAOI 13 – RÓS THRÁ LÍ: We are busily preparing for the Lee Strand Rose of Tralee Tournament. The Rose Cup will be up-for-grabs next weekend (Sat 18th). This Wednesday evening at 6pm we played a challenge game v the U14s. This game will give us a good idea of how we are progressing and it should greatly help us in our preparation. Best of luck, men!
PEIL FAOI 13 – LEE STRAND: We are eagerly looking forward to our Annual Denis O’Connor/Lee Strand Tournament. Beidh sé ar siúl ar an 8ú/9ú Meán Fómhair and we’ll have the very same teams as last year. We’ll have 16 teams from the length and breadth of the country in action in this the 32nd year of the tournament. Do you know that it started a generation ago…away back in 1986, the year that Kerry beat Tír Eoghain by 0-4 in the All-Ireland? This year’s young Rockies are pitched in a tough group with Gaeltacht, Salthill/Cnoc na Cathrach and Ennistymon. Exciting games ahead! This is one of the best underage tournaments in Ireland.
PEIL FAOI 16: (i) We played Dr Crokes on Wednesday 8th in the Lee Strand County League (A team) semi-final. Faraor, níor éirigh linn! Scór:- AdeS: 1-9; Crócaigh: 2-7. Well done, boys, on a great effort! You fought to the end but luck wasn’t on our side on this occasion! (ii) Attention and focus now switches to the Tralee Divisional team with many Rockmen on board and our first game will take place in Kenmare on Sunday next. (ii) Training or game on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
