PEIL FAOI 7/8/9: Our Under 7/8/9 footballers had another great football session last Sunday morning in Caherslee. All players required again at 11am on Sunday next (8th September). Bígí linn! All welcome!

PEIL FAOI 11: (i) More Football-for-Fun will take place in Connolly Park at 10.50am on Sunday next (8ú Meán Fómhair). (ii) Another exciting and challenging encounter will take place in the U11 Boys Central League this Thursday (5th).

LÁ TEAGHLAIGH: An enjoyable Family Day took place in Connolly Park on Sunday last (1st). Three long hours of great excitement and fun with family and friends…football, ice-cream, face painting, et cetera, et cetera! ‘Well done’ to all involved in the organising of this excellent event…a great day was had by all. PEIL FAOI 15: (i) Training sessions continued during the week. Unfortunately, our boys’ involvement in the District County Championship has come to an end….our Tralee District boys were unfortunate in losing to the St Brendan’s District team last week. Is i gCathair Uí Mhóráin a imríodh an cluiche. ‘Well done’ to all involved…management and panellists worked diligently and determinedly and succeeded in reaching the latter stages of the competition. Our club players on the Bordcheantar Thrá Lí (Tralee District) panel: Conor O’Regan (cúl báire), Oran O’Donoghue, Eoin Mangan, Darragh Lyons, Ben Litchfield, Jamie Casey, David Hobbert, Harry Murphy, Jack Delaney, Jayden O’Dowd, Haulie Cotter, Fionn Cotter, Ryan O’Carroll, Mark Riordan, Barry Laide, Danny Lane. An Bhainistíocht: Tim McMahon (AdeS), Rob Lacey (K-O’R), Seán Field (JM). (ii) Last Wednesday evening also saw the final session of the Tralee development programme. Well done and thanks to all who made this possible. (iii) The Central League final in which we face Na Gaeil is on the horizon! Up The Rock! (iv) We await confirmation as to the possibility of a Town League being held in the coming weeks. So, lads, let’s keep the commitment going as we head into the final stages of the season. MINORS: (i) Congratulations to The Rock minors who took on the boys of the St. Brendan’s Divisional team in the quarter final of the Keanes Supervalu Minor County Championship and defeated them.…2-5 to 1-5 (after 40 minutes)….2-11 to 1-9 (final score).

THE POWER OF THE ROCK: Best wishes to our club senior team that, having defeated Glenbeigh/Glencar (1-7 to 0-14), will challenge Raonaithe na Leamhna in the Intermediate Club Championship County Final ag 3pm ar an Domhnach seo chugainn (8ú) i gCill Airne. All support will be needed to help our lads gain an important victory! We want another county title and we want to regain our senior status. So, let’s get our Black‘n’Amber flags flying around the town and let’s start making travel plans for Sunday’s final. We all know how great the ‘16th Man’ Rockie supporters can be! Up The Rock!
