PEIL FAOI 7/8/9: Our Under 7/8/9 footballers will be in action at 11am next Sunday (13th) in Caherslee.

GALVIN/FERNANE LEAGUES: We are continuing our competitions for the John Galvin Trophy and the Garry Fernane Cup. Brilliant football is being played. Excitement is increasing as final day approaches. See you all on Sunday, boys! The finals will take place on the final day of the season.

PEIL FAOI 11: (i) Football will again take place in Connolly Park at 10.50am on Sunday next (13th). (ii) No…no football on Thursdays from now on….séasúr na peile ag teacht chun deiridh! (iii) Our Under 11 boys and their mentors fell victim to the weather last Saturday as the Dee O’Leary Football Tournament didn’t take place at Club na bPiarsach, Cnoc an Aonaigh, Corcaigh. However, the good news is that the tournament has been rescheduled for this Saturday October 12th. Have a great day by The Lee, boys!

CAID FAOI 15: (i) What a disappointing defeat for our boys on Monday night in the Division 1 Town League quarter final against the John Mitchel Club. Our warriors fought with all their worth, played nice attractive football but it wasn’t our day! Well done, lads, on your great effort! You gave it your all! Beidh lá eile ag an bPaorach!

This was our final game of the season and wasn’t it a season that had lots of positives overall. We are Division 2 County League winners, Central League Division 1 winners and we’ve a lot of brilliant, skilful and exciting football played since the spring. Maith sibh, a leaideanna na Carraige!

Our Division 1 stars: Conor O’Regan; Mark Riordan, Oran O’Donoghue, Ryan O’Carroll; Fionn Cotter, Eoin Mangan, Darragh Lyons; Jamie Casey, Ben Litchfield; Jack Delaney, David Hobbert, Michael Cotter; Danny Lane, Barry Laide, Denis Brassil; David Ahern, Ryan O’Flaherty, Noah Reidy, Joe Barry, Harry Murphy, Jayden O’Dowd. Minor lads: divisional and development teams involvement has seen this group being exposed to massive amounts of action. Hopefully agus le cúnamh Dé, a good sound solid foundation has been laid for future success at minor level next year.

(ii) We await confirmation (time/date/venue) of our Division 2 team’s Town League Final in aghaidh ‘Na Gaeil.’ (iii) We strongly exhort and encourage all our boys to remain active during the off season. Boys, continue with ball and skill work and keep putting in the solo miles in preparation for the new season in January ’25! (Ger Hobbert)

COLÁISTÍ – CORN UÍ SHÚILLEABHÁIN: (i) Semi-final result…The Green CBS: 2-18; Coláiste Phádraig: 0-10. In defeating Coláiste Phádraig, Castleisland, at The Spa Grounds, Killarney, The Green booked a place in the final of the O’Sullivan Cup. Opponents, rivals and friends: Mercy Mounthawk. AdeS players on The Green panel: Seán Óg Brosnan (2), Fionnán Ryan (6), Ronan Carroll (11) Ryan O’Driscoll (14), Donnacha Horgan (21). Ryan O’Driscoll scored 0-9 (0-7f) and Ronan Carroll scored 1-4.

Olivier Lata officiated as linesman. (ii) ‘Well done’ to the U19 Rock boys on the Mounthawk team who defeated Coláiste Bhréanainn in a good game in their semi-final of the O’Sullivan Cup competition in Milltown. PEIL FAOI 17: Our U17 boys still have a few Sunday morning sessions to do. Thursday evening sessions have finished for 2024.
