Austin Stacks CrestUnder 16 & Senior Ladies Teams Awards Presentation.

The presentation of medals and players awards took place in Austin Stacks GAA Club on Saturday 5th December. Both teams were well represented, despite the atrocious weather conditions which preventing some members from attending. Team trainers Martin McKivergan, Pat Slattery (U-16’s) and Jimmy Rogers (Senior) gave good accounts of the excellent progress made by both teams during the year and had words of encouragement to offer for the forthcoming year. Maurice McNamara welcomed all who came along and presented the awards.

Individual awards were presented to the following

Ellen O’Connell, Young Player of the Year; Gemma O’Connor, U16 Most Improved Player; Gemma O’Connell, Senior Team Player of the Year; Laura Rogers, All Ireland 7’s Award; Ciara Rogers/Karina Quilter, Players of the Year; Marina Barry Walsh, Player of the Match in N.K. Final vs Finuge; Karina Slattery/Laura Rogers, Players Player of the Year Award shared jointly with 7 votes each; Holly O’Brien, Supporter of the Year Award.
