Senior Team Match Report

Ballymac V Churchill

Result – Ballymac 4-15

Churchill 2-13

Ballymac & Churchill played out a very competitive St. Brendans league game today in what must be said a fantastic Churchill pitch.

The first half weather conditions were extremely difficult making it impossible for both teams.

Although saying this some fantastic points were kicked by Vinny Horan and TJ Casey with the latter bagging a goal. Killian Fitzgerald kicked 6 points for Churchill leaving the half time score 1-6 to 0-6 in the away teams favour.

The second have saw the weather improve drastically bringing with it some fine football. Ballymac started the second half the stronger with TJ Casey bagging another goal.

Points from V Horan, D O Shea & L Sweeney saw Ballymac stretch their lead to 9 points. Churchill then rallied and put together 2 excellent moves which resulted in 2 well taken goals. 2 more unanswered points from Churchill saw only 1 point between them going into the last 8 minutes.

It was then Ballymacs turn and a well worked kick-out saw Ballymac put together the move of the game resulting in Sean Savage putting the ball into the net in which was the score of the game.

Another goal by D O Shea which can only be described as a bullet and 2 more unanswered points saw Ballymac win by 8. This was a great work-out for both teams and will surely stand to both later in the year.

Well done to the team and Management in achieving another victory early in the season.
