SOCCER fans will congregate in the Square this summer to cheer on the boys in green, as a big screen will be erected for the Republic Of Ireland’s clash with Belgium in Euro 2016 on Saturday, June 18.
It’s all part of the Tralee 800 celebrations in a festival which takes place from June 17-19 in the town, also incorporating the annual Féile na mBláth.
From 1pm on the Saturday, there’ll be live music to get a party atmosphere going for the match in Bordeaux, which kicks off at 2pm our time.

A big screen was also erected in the Square for an Ireland game during the Euro 2012 championships and this proved a huge success. Organisers hope families come down to create a big match atmosphere.
More details of the Tralee 800 will be announced soon, but expect many musical acts, a medieval display and loads of family fun events during the course of the weekend. All we need now is the weather to be kind!
