A FUNDRAISER in aid of a vital service will be held in Ardfert next weekend.

A Bingo with a guaranteed jackpot of €350 will be held in the Community Centre in aid of the Ardfert and District Community First responders on Sunday, December 20.

Beginning with a mulled wine reception at 2.30pm, there will be a raffle, spot prizes, children’s raffle and plenty of fun according to organisers.

The responders are a voluntary group that are contacted by the National Ambulance Service (until an ambulance arrives on scene) to attend chest pain, cardiac arrest, choking or stroke call patients in the area, which covers a 7km radius from Ardfert to Causeway, Ballyheigue, Fenit, Mounthawk and Abbeydorney.
