TRALEE will get a shot in the arm over Christmas and New Year as hundreds of card players from all over the country descend for the Tralee International Bridge Congress 2014.
The congress takes place from Tuesday, December 30 to Sunday, January 4 and will be held at the Manor West Hotel.
Card players from Ireland and abroad will be giving themselves a Christmas treat with a trip to Tralee for a International Bridge Congress.
Minister Jimmy Deenihan said that Tralee International Bridge Congress and similar events around the county have brought over 1500 bridge players from all over Ireland and abroad to Kerry during the shoulder periods in tourism and for over 50 years have boosted the local economy.
Mayor Cllr Jim Finucane congratulated the organisers on the growing success of the Tralee International Bridge Congress which is a major attraction and brings nearly 300 people to the town.
