Camogie: Kerry Continue Winning Ways Against Roscommon

Mike O’Halloran reports on Kerry’s win over Roscommon in the Liberty Premier Junior Championship at the weekend…

The Kerry Camogie team had an emphatic win over Roscommon in Tralee on Saturday.

The home side’s win was never in doubt from the moment Jessica Fitzell pointed after three minutes.

Roscommon had all their scores in the first half and went in at halftime three points down as Kerry added five more points from the hurlers of Patrice Diggins, Jacqueline Horgan, Alannah Whelan and Laura Collins.

Patrice Diggins had Kerry motoring again within four minutes of the restart with a point she pointed a free she pointed a free three minutes later before Sara Murphy and Aoife Behan had a point each.

Aoife then goaled on fifteen minutes to make the score Kerry 1-10 Roscommon 0-3.

Jacqueline Horgan, Aoife Behan and Patrice Diggins added three further points to leave the final score Kerry 1-13 Roscommon 0-3. Kerry now go on to play Clare in their next game. Scroll down for photos…
