The Sue Ryder Foundation shop in Rock Street which was broken into and vandalised.

GARDAI are investigating a shocking incident where a charity shop was vandalised and burgled.

The Sue Ryder Foundation shop in Rock Street was broken into between the hours of 5.50pm on Friday and 9.50am on Saturday.

It is thought the thieves forced open the back door, the safe was forced open and cash taken. There was considerable damage to the property and a number of items were taken.
