TRALEE native Clodagh Harrington will be hoping to collect an award for the second year in a row next month.

Clodagh has been nominated for Best Female Singer at the National AIMS Awards for her performance as Deloris Van Cartier in Tralee Musical Society’s production of Sister Act.

This is her second year in a row getting nominated after winning the award last year for Evita with the Light Opera Society of Tralee.

Meanwhile, Killarney Musical Society received four nominations for their production, ‘Michael Collins – A Musical Drama’ in Best Stage Management (Frank Ashe and Pat Brosnan); Best Musical Director (Michael Young); Best Chorus and Best Overall Show.

Best of luck to all the Kerry nominees at the awards ceremony which take place in the INEC Killarney on the weekend of Friday, June 14 to Sunday, June 16.
