Credit Union Apologises To 2,000 Members For Direct Debit Error

Tralee Credit UnionTRALEE Credit Union has apologised to around 2,000 members who had direct debits taken out of their accounts twice last Friday.

The problem occurred due to an upgrade in their IT banking system and relates to Friday’s direct debits only and not any other day.

Tralee Credit Union hope to refund affected members by this Tuesday.

This includes members who have incurred fees charges from their banks as a result of the error overdrawing their accounts and non payment of other scheduled direct debits, which will be reimbursed upon receipt of their bank statements.

Tralee Credit Union says remedial action is being taken to ensure this error does not happen again and offered their sincere apologies for the inconvenience this has caused.
