KERINS O’Rahillys will have a very special guest to present medals at their 10k event this coming Sunday.
“We honoured to announce that we will have the great grandson of “The O’Rahilly” John O’Rahilly with us for the day on Sunday to present the medal commemorating his great grandfather to all of our race finishers,” said a spokesperson at the club.
“We are also delighted to be able to announce that legendary marathon runner and native Tralee man John Griffin will be our official race starter for our 10K. John famously won back to back Dublin city marathons in 1988 and 1989. He has many honours under his belt and also many miles. We are very honoured to have him on the day,” said the club.
The run starts at 10am. You can still register for the event on Run the Kingdom’s website or at the club, Saturday 12-8pm and Sunday 8-9am.
