SEPTEMBER can be a busy time for Kerry people travelling to Dublin with many young people starting or going back to college and of course, the All-Ireland final.
It can also be expensive whether if you’re driving or travelling by train. But now there is a new kid on the block when it comes to travel from Kerry.
The new Dublin Coach Kerry express route came into effect last week with the creation of 30 full time jobs.
The luxury transport provider has been changing the commuter’s travel experience since the company was founded in 2003. It’s main aim, whilst transporting over 2.3 million passengers per year has been its focus on offering customers quality and comfort at affordable prices.
Last Friday saw the launch of a new express service departing from both Tralee and Killarney on a daily basis opening the Dublin Coach network further whilst adding to its successful, existing routes.
Dublin Coach have expanded their M7 service from Dublin to Limerick and Ennis to connect both Killarney and Tralee allowing the region a direct connection to Limerick and Dublin City, and transfer connection to both Ennis and Dublin Airport.
The distinctive green coaches depart daily from Princes Street in Tralee and Lewis Road bus park in Killarney stopping in Adare, Arthurs Quay Limerick, University of Limerick, Annacotty, Kildare Village, Red Cow Luas and Dublin City centre.
Every coach leaving both Killarney and Tralee will have a half hourly connection at the Red Cow luas to both Dundrum town centre and also Dublin Airport.
Fares for the Dublin Coach express service will start at €10 one way to Limerick and €20 one way to Dublin from both Tralee and Killarney with two children under 12 traveling free with every paying adult.
Not forgetting customers attending second and third level education, Dublin Coach will also be providing a 10 journey, €50 student ticket between Killarney / Tralee and all Limerick stops which will be valid for 7 consecutive days allowing huge savings for our student passengers.
In addition to this new service for the people of Kerry, Limerick, Kildare and Dublin, Dublin Coach is providing full time employment to over 30 people with the extension of these new routes to Tralee and Killarney.
Aoife Dunphy, marketing executive of Dublin coach said: “Within Dublin coach, we saw the need to provide a comfortable, easy and affordable way to connect Dublin, Limerick and Kerry.
“Limerick will also see a huge commercial and tourism benefit as the city will now receive 35 services daily. We are delighted to be providing 30 new jobs for the people of Kerry and cannot wait to see the progress of this route over the coming months with the support of everyone in the county.”
This sees the launch of our new Dundrum town center – Red Cow Luas – Dublin Airport route which will link in at the Red Cow Luas station for every service that Dublin Coach operates nationwide. We now provide a direct link for tourism into Kerry from Dublin Airport and Dublin city at an affordable price with customers travelling in comfort and style,’’ said Ms Dunphy.
