THE  10th annual Maurice Collins Memorial Vintage Day will take place on Easter Sunday, April 16, on the lands of Gerard McCarthy, Banna West Ardfert.

This year, the nominated charities are the Palliative Care, University Hospital Kerry, and Down Syndrome Kerry.

It promises to be an action-packed event, kicking off with the annual tractor run which will take place on the evening prior to the field day.

There will be vintage displays of tractors, engines, cars and bikes for the motor enthusiasts, on the day. A tractor and farms skills competition has also been organised, with a tug of war contest being organised by Macra Na Feirme.

There will be Easter activities for children of all ages, including an Easter egg hunt, the annual dog show, face painting, bouncy castles, music and dance. There will also be trade stands on the field.

Last year, as a result of the hard work and commitment put into the day by the helpers of the Maurice Collins Memorial Vintage Day, €10,000 was raised for the Kerry Cork Health Link Bus.

This year guarantees a good day out for the entire family, as well as raising funds for charity.
