Eleanor Fitzgerald says going back to do her Leaving Cert at Tralee VTOS was the best decision she could have made… 

I left main stream school when I was 16 years old and at that time went into full time employment.

For a long time I thought about going back to education, so in 2010 I started in VTOS in Tralee, it was a two year Leaving Cert programme.

It was the best decision I ever made and in 2012 I completed the Leaving Cert.  The course was invaluable and the staff were so helpful and had a genuine interest in helping each student to achieve their potential.

The course prepared me for further education and after completing the Leaving Cert, I attended Kerry College of Further Education and most recently I completed a Bachelors of Science (HONS) in Mental Health Nursing in the IT Tralee.

I am currently working as a staff nurse with the HSE, which I believe would not have been possible without the help and guidance I received while studying at VTOS Tralee.
