A person we are well used to seeing on our TV screens, RTE weather woman, Evelyn Cusack will be at Siamsa Tire and performing a show all about, you guessed it, the weather.

The show, about the nation’s number one conversation starter, will take place  at 7pm.

Éigse Fhilí Chiarraí 2014

A night of culture, literature and Irish will take place in Meadowlands and will on through into Saturday. The whole thing gets underway with on Friday night at 8pm with a slide presentation of Kerry’s Flora and Fauna by Kerry O’Malley.

Splash of Pink

A charity coffee morning will take place in Ballyseedy Garden Centre called ‘Splash of Pink’ in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.

The whole thing gets underway at 10am and will continue until noon. People who are coming are encouraged to wear a ‘Splash of Pink’ to help cancer awareness.

While there, people will be treated to a fashion show and a raffle with spot prizes.

Kerry Film Festival 2014

This year’s festival will be having its first screening at 2pm in the Brandon Conference Centre and will continue for an entire week.

In total, 28 screenings of film, short film and documentaries will take place in four venues, with the Brandon Conference Centre and Siamsa Tire, taking the lion’s share of features. Tickets can be purchased from Siamsa Tire. Click here for more.

Irish Red Cross Run

Feeling energetic? It’s the 75th anniversary of the Irish Red Cross and to celebrate a 10k run will take place. The starting point will be outside Siamsa Tire at 11am  and will finish in the Brandon Hotel after taking a route through, James Street, past Kerins O’Rahilly’s club to Blennerville, then up Tonevane and then past Tralee Rugby Club to the finish line.

Austin Stacks v West Kerry, Fitzgerald Stadium, 3:30pm

Ok, it’s not Tralee, but Rockies will want to head for Killarney where the black and amber will take on West Kerry in Fitzgerald stadium in the county championship quarter final.

We’re now into the business end of the championship so it’s do our die if the Rock want to bridge that gap of 20 years without a county title.
