WHILE people had their lunch in Ballyseedy Garden Centre n Thursday, they were also treated to some festive singing by the pupils of the small Flemby National School.
“We do carol singing every second year and the Ballyseedy Garden Centre are always very good to us and invite us over,” said Paul Roche, Principal of Flemby National School.
Flemby National School is a two teacher co-educational school, located in the parish of Ballymacelligott, about five miles from Tralee.
“Bernie Falvey, who is the owner of Ballyseedy garden centre, her father was involved in building the schoolhouse in Flemby, so there is close ties between us,” said Paul Roche.
Parents were also in attendance and snapped photos of their kids as they belted out the Christmas hits.
“We’re here to bring a bit of Christmas cheer and atmosphere. Yesterday the children were at Kerry Airport singing for people who were returning back home for Christmas,” said Paul.
“We’re a two teacher school so we have a great family atmosphere. We always try and do as much as we can together to keep that community feeling,” he said.
