1. With the bars closed for ‘Good Friday’ and a temporary ban on the sale of alcohol for the day, there will be a different night in store for most when they finish work tomorrow.

If you are like most and will be stuck for something to pass the time then in the spirit of religious irony, you can head on down to Siamsa Tire where the play ‘Antichrist’ will be held and heard at 8pm and run by the Free Radicals Youth Theatre.

Tickets are €10 and can be purchased online here or by calling the box office at (066) 7123055.

2. Now for something completely different.

A locally based drama group is putting the final touches to an Easter pageant which will take place on Good Friday.

The ‘Tralee Parish Liturgy Drama Group’ has been preparing for several weeks now for their ‘Good Friday Pageant’ which will be taking place at St John’s the Baptist Church, in Castle Street at 3pm and which will then move onto the Church of St Stephen and St John at 8pm in Castleisland that night.

The night will feature re-enactments of various scenes from the Bible with the group rehearsing diligently in preparation for their enactment of Christ’s Passion and Crucifixion which will form part of the Good Friday Ceremonies.

SATURDAY

3. Get some sleep on Friday night as Saturday is a day that is jam-packed with all sorts of things for your little ones to do!

You can head on down to the ‘Under 12 Meadowlands Hotel Kids Fancy Dress Fun Run’ that will be taking place in Tralee Town Park from 1-3pm.

There will be face painters and some of your favourite Disney characters there on the day to ensure a smile on your little ones faces.
