A YOUTH theatre group will tread the boards with their end of year production next week in Siamsa Tíre.

On Easter Monday, April 17 at 8pm, Free Radicals will present ‘All Things’ by Neil Flynn.

Free Radicals Youth Theatre is Siamsa Tire’s official youth theatre and is for young people (aged from 15-20 years) who wish to develop their skills in drama and explore acting and writing for the stage.

This year the youth theatre members have worked with facilitator Jerry Fitzgerald, actress Judith Ryan, lego workshop facilitator Eve Savage and actress Joanne Barry during workshops throughout the year to improve their skills.

Youth theatre members have also attended workshops with Youth Theatre Ireland and the Young Critics programme in Dublin.

In their upcoming production, the 20 strong cast of ‘All Things’ perform as a group of teenagers who awake to find themselves in a strange metropolis only to discover all is not what it seems.

How did they get there? What has happened to their lives? Will they ever be able to wake up and start to live again? What is the true nature of their relationship with each other?

All Things is a rousing ensemble piece that visits tragedy comedy, horror, and philosophy in its journey through the wonders and perils of youth. (Parental guidance 14+)

All things was first performed in Síamsa in 2011, it has subsequently been performed by Wexford Youth Theatre and Monaghan Youth Theatre and Free Radicals Youth Theatre look forward to bringing it back to the Síamsa stage in a newly-realised version. Call 066-7123055 for ticket details.
