WHILE the world is changing for everyone these days, the generosity of the local community is the same as it ever was.
This is evident in the case of Brendan Walsh from Tralee, who suffered a serious horse-related injury recently. Brendan is heavily involved in racing, breeding, showjumping and the Kingdom Pony Club and he is now facing an extensive recovery period.
A number of his friends of go together to help him and his family in his time of need by setting up a gofundme page.

His wife Tara, (a member of the fundraising team) and his son Jamie will be the controllers of the funds which will go towards hospital costs, and day to day expenses travelling to and from hospital, as well as general costs now that Brendan’s income is diminished while he is recovering.
The collected funds will be directly transferred to the bank account of Brendan and his family. So far (by 10am Tuesday) the fund has raised over €7,200. To go to the gofundme page click here
