STUDENTS from Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí with the Coiste Gaeilge (committee of students who help to organize events and promote Irish in the school) were awarded the Gaelbhratach, by Clíodhna Ní Chíosáin, an Irish actor from the clár teilifíse, Afraic.
Seventy schools attended the awards day, which was held in Leopardstown Racecourse. The Gaelbhratach is a purple flag, that recognizes the work of students and teachers in the use and promotion of the Irish language.

The scheme is run by Foras Na Gaeilge, Gaellinn and Conradh na Gaeilge. Eoin Mac Diarmuida RTÉ was the Fear an Tí and the students were highly entertained by SEO LINN, an upcoming Irish band, that performed all their songs as Gaeilge.
