GARDAÍ are seeking the public’s help with burglaries in Tralee and around the county over the past week.
Gardaí are urging homeowners to be vigilant as the amount of burglaries has increased over the past month or so and they encourage people to lock doors and windows when leaving and to install an alarm system.
The childcare centre at Lios Rua, Cahermoneen, was broken into between 5pm on July 20 and 8am on July 21. Entry was gained via the emergency side doors. Nothing was stolen during the break-in.
Between 6pm on Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25 at 7am, the Liscahane Garden Centre near Ardfert was broken into.
Staying in Ardfert, a house was broken into by forcing open a rear window and a sum of cash was taken between 5.30pm and 7.30pm on Friday, July 24.
Gardaí in Tralee on 066-7102300 are looking for information.
A house in Firies was broken into via the back door on Thursday July 23 between 9am and 5.40pm. A sum of cash was taken during the break-in.
A house in Fossa was broken into on Friday, July 24 at around lunchtime between 12.45pm and 2.15pm. The thieves entered via a rear window and some items were taken. Gardaí in Killarney on 064-6631222 are looking for information.
A house in the Killorglin area was broken into between July 21 and July 24 where a sum of cash and jewellery was taken. Gardai in Killorglin on 066 9790500 are looking for information.
A house in the Duagh area was broken into on July 23 between 8.30am and 2pm. The burglars gained entry through the rear of the house and while the home was ransacked, nothing was taken. Gardai in Listowel on 068 50820 are looking for information.
