Gardai Seize €11,900 Of Suspected Drugs At Tralee Residence

GARDAI seized suspected benzodiazepine tablets and cannabis with a combined value of approximately €11,900, and arrested a man (30’s), further to a search operation at a residential premises in Tralee, on Friday, July 12.

The search under warrant was conducted by Kerry Divisional Drugs Unit. During the course of the search, €10,000 of suspected benzodiazepine tablets and €1,900 of cannabis herb were seized.

The male (30’s) arrested in connection with this investigation was detained pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda Station in the Co. Kerry area.

He has since been released without charge, pending a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). The seized drugs will now be sent to FSI (Forensic Science Ireland) to undergo further analysis. Investigations are ongoing.

  1. An Garda Síochána have failed utterly in relation to drugs in this state.

    Also from what I see on social media they act more like the Royal Irish Constabulary nowadays.
    An Garda Síochána and their Royal Ulster Constabulary boss are good for nothing – disband them.
