IF you’re feeling energetic over Christmas then you can head over to Farranfore to take part in one of the oldest road races in Ireland on St. Stephen’s day.
The Farranfore St Stephen’s Day 5k has been run since 1961 along the same route. Now in its 60th year, it is run from Farranfore to Firies and back to the finish in Farranfore.
The start and finish is at the Kerry Mill in Farranfore, running close to the cross-roads in Firies and returning via the same route. Road closed to traffic so you can enjoy the day without having to worry about any traffic concerns.

The 5K Timed Race starting at 12.15pm is open to all those aged 13 years and over on race day.
Due to popular demand the organiser have added a 2K Family Fun Run / Walk starting at 11.45am to ensure the whole family can enjoy the day.
Entry fees are €15 for the 5k and €10 for the 2k. To find out more about the event click here.
