CAHERLEAHEEN NS and Parents Association will host their ‘Gourmet Spring Grill’ fundraiser to support a facility which has been a huge support to parents of a child attending the school.
The event on this coming Friday, March 13 at The Pavilion in Ballygarry House Hotel, will support the Hugh’s House charity, located on the doorsteps of both Temple Street and The Rotunda hospitals, which provides free accommodation for the families of children requiring long-term hospital care.
The Parents Association’s commitment to raising funds for Hugh’s House comes from their wish to show their heartfelt support for the wonderful parents of a pupil in the school who stayed at Hugh’s House for over a year.

Jenny Pye and Alex O’Donovan are parents to Sadie who is in senior infants and since the birth of their son Jake in 2018, they spent almost all their time in Temple Street with Jake and stayed at Hugh’s House regularly.
Jake was born with Omphalocele which means most of his internal organs were outside his body at birth.
A glamorous evening awaits guests on this Friday, with a drinks reception, full barbecue, live entertainment and amazing prizes.
This is an occasion to get together in support of their charity and school fundraiser and revel in the acoustic sounds of Seamus Harty, followed by live band Arklight and DJ. The evening commences at 7.30pm.
The event is open to all beyond the school circle. Caherleaheen Parents Association and school are embracing this opportunity to bring together many communities, both locally and beyond Kerry, who wish to acknowledge the tremendous support and comfort Hugh’s House has provided to, not just the family in question, but to many, many families over the past five years.
Tickets €45 per person. Admission over 18s. Tickets are available locally at University Hospital Kerry.
