Here’s How Many Single Men And Women Are In Tralee And Beyond

Tralee has the highest amount of single people in Kerry.

THE stats from Census 2016 keep on coming and the latest information released from the Central Statistics Office relates to households.

Among the statistics are the number of single males and females over the age of 15 in the county. In Kerry, 38% of the people in the county over the age of 15 are classified as single.

Here’s some of the figures relating to Tralee and the surrounding villages and towns.

There were 19,041 persons aged 15 or over in Tralee of which 8,590 or 45.1% had a marital status of single, the highest percentage of all towns in Kerry.

There were 4,238  single males and 4,352 single females in the town on the night of the census, April 24, 2016.

In the Spa area there were 62 single males and 58 single females while in Ardfert there were 123 single males and 131 single females. Over in Abbeydorney there were 64 single males and 84 single females.

In Fenit there were 78  single males and 79 single females. In Ballyheigue there were 104 single males and 124  single females. In Kilflynn, there were 24  single males and 31 single females.

In Castleisland there were 425 single males and 376 single females. In Lixnaw, there were 111  single males and 116 single females. In Causeway, there were 58  single males and 45 single females.

In Milltown, there were 126  single males and 154 single females, in Castlemaine, there were 31 single males and 26 single females, while in Firies, there were 65 single males and 75 single females.
