BANNA Sea Rescue are currently preparing for the annual swim at Banna Strand on Christmas Day which takes place at 12.30pm sharp and they’re hoping for a big crowd of participants and spectators on the day.
There has been big increase in the number of splashers over the years says Chairman Tom Ward and this year, weather permitting, will see a bumper crowd to watch the spectacle.

As usual there will be stewarding of the car park and also Banna Rescue crew will be suited up for beach patrol.
After the swim visitors and swimmers are invited to the boathouse for refreshments, a sandwich and a hot toddy.
