Minor Team – Our team are currently taking a well deserved break.
Academy – A great turnout this morning. Fantastic skills on display. We have only two weekends of training left so please make sure you make a special effort to keep attending as we prepare for our Sylvie Mason blitz in two weeks time.
Under 9 Boys – John Mitchels U9 Boy’s hosted @ballymacelligott_gaa_club_ U9s on Sunday morning for some non competitive Go Games. Both side’s had great numbers resulting in more small sided teams ensuring everyone got plenty of football. Well done to both team’s for a fantastic morning’s football and we would like to wish Ballymac all the best in the rest of their season. Also thanks to George Bastible for reffing one of the games. Training for John Mitchels U9 Boys continues next Sunday from 10.15am All Newcomers Welcome!!
Under 8s and 10s Girls – A great session by the girls this morning. Please keep up the training at home and practise your skills. See you all next week.
Under 12 and 13 Girls – John Mitchels Under 13 girls play Milltown/Castlemaine in the Club Championship final at home on Monday at 5.45pm. All support would be massively appreciated.
Under 14 and 16 Girls – Our Under 15 girls played Beale in the semi-final of the County Championship where there was a tremendous performance by the team in what were the worst of weather conditions. Time and venue tbc re the final in the Championship where we will play either Duagh or Shannonside Tarbert.
Under 11 Boys – Our older Under 11’s travelled to Milltown on Sunday for a blitz. We were drawn in a group with Listry and Beaufort. First up we faced Listry and were well in the game at half time but unfortunately Listry were that bit stronger near the end and came out winners in a tight affair.
Next up we faced Beaufort and despite trailing by a point at half time we turned the tables after the break and were able to score at will and dominate a very good Beaufort team. Scoring a remarkable 5-07 in 16 minutes of football in total most of which was in the second half. That scoreline was enough to see us top the group which was a fantastic achievement for this group of players.
We faced Churchill in the semi-final who were very strong in our recent encounter. The boys battled well and were unlucky to not tag on a few goals with the width of a post depriving them of a goal at a crucial juncture. Unfortunately it was not to be and this is where we exited the competition. All credit to each and every one of the players who emptied the tank and gave everything.
Thanks to Milltown\Castlemaine for a well run event as always. We are nearing the end of the season and will train one last time on Sunday before the annual Sylvie Mason blitz the following week.
Under 13 Boys –John Mitchels are due to play Austin Stacks in a town league final. Details of this final to be organised in the coming days and will be sent out via our social media channels.
Under 14 & 15 Boys – We play Austin Stacks at home on Monday night at 7.45pm in the semi-final Tralee Town League. All support would be much appreciated.
Bingo – Continues Wednesday and Friday at 8.00PM at the John Joe Sheehy Road. Over 18s only. ID must be provided on request. Please note the change of time to 8pm. Thanks to all our bingo patrons for their continued support. It is appreciated by all of us in the club where the monies raised from bingo go to support the juvenile section of the club.
