Golf Classic – Our annual golf classic takes place in Beaufort Golf Club on Friday August 23rd. Always a great day out, a team of 4 is €300 and a tee box can be sponsored for €75.

Please contact any of the organizing committee of Pat Kearney, Fergus Foley, Anthony McElligott, Eoin Gallagher, Rory Kilgallen and Brid McElligott if you wish to sponsor a team or help with the event. All monies raised go to support our football activities.

Mothers & Others Notes – Great game at home last Wednesday evening v Abbeydorney. Thanks to all who were involved. A lovely opportunity after the game for both teams to meet and chat upstairs in the lounge over a cup of tea. Training continues this Wednesday. Minor Team –The first round of the Keanes Supervalu Club Championship takes place on Monday July 8th at 7.30pm where we play Laune Rangers away. Wishing the players and management the best in the competition. All support would be greatly appreciated at the game on Monday evening.

Academy – Delighted to welcome Keel Boys and Girls to Mitchels on Sunday morning. Great skills on show by both teams. See you all again next Sunday. New players are always welcome and training resumes next Sunday morning.

Under 9 Boys – John Mitchels U9 Boys and Girl’s played @castlegregorygaa in some very entertaining non competitive Go Games on Sunday morning last and despite a lot of people away on holidays both sides had great numbers and played fantastic football in all games. Well done to everyone in what was a great morning of football. We look forward to travelling out to Castlegregory during the summer months for a return visit

Under 8s and 10s Girls – Well done to the girls who played Castlegregory on Sunday. A great turnout by the teams where the girls played side by side with the boys under 9s. Lovely display of skill and team work against a sporting Castlegregory team.

Under 14 Girls – Training continues on Tuesday and Thursday as we now focus on the North Kerry League which will start later this month.

Under 12 Girls – Great training session on Sunday morning. Training continues on Wednesday evening,

Under 11 Boys –  No games for this group last week and none this week. The boys trained as normal on Sunday and will do likewise next week at the usual time of 10:30am. New players are always welcome.

Under 13 Boys – Training takes place this Wednesday at 6.30pm and Friday at 6.15pm. Please make every effort to attend as we prepare for the Town League final.

Under 15 Boys – We play An Ghaeltacht away on Wednesday evening at 7.30pm in our next round of the Central League.

Under 16 Girls and Minors – Our U16 ladies faced Firies away in Farranfore this evening in ideal conditions for football. The girls have been training extremely hard these past few weeks. We started the game brightly, with the efforts put in on the training pitch visible for all to see and we went in at half time 1-06 to 0-00 ahead. The second half was similar to the first half and we tacked on 1-04 to win the game comfortably. It was a superb performance from the girls and the teamwork and interplay was top class. We are so proud of the girls and it was fantastic for the whole panel to play their part in tonight’s victory. Final score: Firies 1-03 John Mitchels 2-10. We will train on Tuesday and Thursday this week at 7PM and full attendance is expected.

Bingo – Continues Wednesday and Friday at 8.30PM at the John Joe Sheehy Road. Over 18s only. ID must be provided on request.

Lotto – John Mitchels GAA Club Lotto Results: Sunday 7th July 2024. This week’s Lotto numbers are 21, 27, 29 & 31. The numbers today were drawn by Stevie O’Mahony and Graham Higgins. There was no winner of the Jackpot of €3,700.00. Congratulations to our three lucky dip winners this week:
