We held our 1st Strictly Come Dancing in Ballygarry House Hotel last Sunday evening. The crowds poured in from 6.45 onwards such was the interest in the event. The atmosphere was electric and each performance was outstanding.

Not only was it a night for Strictly but also a Community occasion where people met and socialised until the early hours. It was a unique night that will live in the memory of everyone present for many years to come.

Our Chairman Denis Mannix gave a heartwarming and passionate speech about the John Mitchels Club. He thanks all the dancers for their dedication over the last number number of weeks including Laura O’Flaherty, Choreographer.

Their backroom team, the Judges, the Hotel and the many volunteers on the night. Last but not least Brian Hurley MC who did a fantastic job on the night.

The overall winners on the night were Frank O’Donnell and Mary Fitzgerald. Their prize money of €500 each is being donated to the Onchology Unit, Kerry Unversity Hospital. For photos from the event click here and here
