There has been a phenomenal growth in the participation of Ladies Gaelic Football .This is an excellent example of progress, as indeed is the increase in the standard of ladies football . Our Club has a thriving ladies’ section that is constantly growing and improving in quality and competitiveness. Off the field of play our volunteers are busy working behind the scenes to drive on our fantastic ladies club.
The dreaded Covid-19 HAD brought club games and activities to a halt at one stage and delivered many challenges to all clubs and communities. We think that because of this our team spirit has never been higher and more girls are taking up football. And always remember that success is not measured in medals, it is measured in the number of players who line out for an adult team!!
New players are always very welcome to join our friendly club. Our club covers a wide area and current players live in many different parts.

Braving the elements last Saturday morning on the juvenile pitch in Ballyrickard after being indoor for the past 3 weeks was this wonderful bunch of young ladies.A good day was had by all when you consider last week it looked like as if we could have been getting ready to build another ark!!
Great commitment also by everyone with some of the girls finishing another sport and coming straight to football. Everyone’s skills are starting to come together and great tenacity shown by all… just another few weeks now girls and the North Kerry League commences…but before that Legion are coming into us next Saturday for a challenge game , looking forward to welcoming them!
To our young ladies who are receiving the sacrament of Confirmation, congrats and have a lovely day!

The strong breeze didn’t deter these ladies from displaying their supernatural powers on the Sports Complex AstroTurf as training continues to dominate the winter sky.

Stepping into March , the evenings are getting a little longer , the weather still isn’t great but we will have those longer evenings to look forward to in a few weeks when the clocks go forward…
Training continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays, looking forward to seeing everyone!

Great training session on the AstroTurf pitch in CBS , The Green again last week. Looking forward to seeing you all on Wednesday in preparation for the Donal Curtin Cup which commences in March.

Registration for the 2022 season is now due. Please log onto your account in Foireann to register.
All ladies registration is only done online on the Foireann site.
Parents of new players need to log in to Foireann.ie , create an account and then complete the registration of your daughter .
Payment may be made in 2 instalments if you wish.
Karon, our ladies registrar will be sending out messages early this week. Should you encounter any difficulties with Foireann or membership options please do not hesitate to contact Karon.
GAELIC4GIRLS
This is an eight week programme to increase participation in ladies football. Girls of all abilities welcome to join . Get in touch if you’re interested in giving it a go, whether it’s for fun, fitness or to socialise… you won’t be disappointed! This will commence on Saturday, March 19th.The cost of it is €12.50 in total for the eight weeks which includes a fabulous Gaelic4Girls training jersey. Orders will be taken on commencement of the programme. This promises to be enjoyable.

Juvenile Notes
Pat Healy Park was the place to be on Sunday morning as our first training session of the season kicked off.
We welcomed close to 150 children onto our pitches along with their parents/guardians. Our Juvenile Chairperson Rob Lacey and our wonderful coaches were set up and ready to go ensuring the children got the most out of their training session as well as having fun. It was lovely to see so many children in action learning skills and having fun with their coaches and team mates. Huge thank you to everyone who made it such a success.
Also a very big thank you to Declan Quill who ran a coaching course over two days last week for all our coaches giving them the necessary coaching qualification. Thank you to our dedicated coaches for attending also.

The club currently have two function rooms available to rent.
The upstairs Pat Healy Room is a large function room perfect for exercise classes, seminars, meetings, private functions , parties etc.
Downstairs is a smaller more intimate venue again ideal for any event.
The rooms are available at hourly, daily or weekly rates.
