Juvenile Academy:

And that’s a wrap for another year. Our Juvenile Academy came to an end on a sunny Sunday fun filled morning.

As always our committee and coaches go above and beyond to ensure all the children have a fantastic last morning in the academy for all their hard work throughout the year.

.
.

The morning’s events started off with two of our very own football stars Tommy Walsh and David Moran joining us to take group pictures with all age groups. The groups were then assigned to the different stations that were set up throughout the pitch.

The most popular station was the obstacle course which involved having to crawl under nets, walk the plank and make your way through a black pipe. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed this.

.
.
.

Second station set up was speed testing to see who could run a set distance in the fastest time.   On to the third station where they enjoyed fun games from Its My Party including a football dart board and Basketball.  The fourth and final station involved a  tug of war which got very competitive at times and penalty shoot out against Max the Dog who was in goal.

There was an area set up for our smaller juveniles to enjoy themselves also.  Everyone enjoyed tea and coffee along with some delicious treats from Der Sullivan’s who are always so kind and generous to the club.  To finish off the day all our juveniles received their medals and plenty of treats.

All the work that has gone on in our Club would not be possible without the amazing volunteers we have on our committee and coaching side of the house.  We are so lucky to have so many enthusiastic and dedicated people who go above and beyond always.

So a huge thank you to all our coaches and committee members, take a bow and enjoy the well deserved break.  Thank you to all our Juvenile players for coming to training and games, week in week out.

And finally thank you to the parents for their continued trust and support, we really appreciate each and every one of you.  We will return to our Academy Training in February 2025.   Please ensure you keep an eye on clubzap for more information.

U14 Girls:

Our Under 14s had an impressive win over Na Gaeil in the North Kerry League at their home pitch on Wednesday night.

Our girls put in a solid first half, with Allie Kerins and Lily Hussey dominating midfield and Lexi Keane a constant threat in front of goals. But it was the introduction of Taylor Kate Leane in the second half that put the game well and truly out of the home side’s reach. Great to have you back Taylor!

But that said, it was a super team performance – from our goalie Eve O’Sullivan right through to the forwards and each of our subs who came on.

They showed what a strong force they can be when they play as a team.

Special mention to Sennait Forester who had a blinder at full back.

Final score 5-11 to 3-5.

We play Na Gaeil again in the Shield Final, date to be decided.

.

U15 Girls:

Our U15 Girls were away to Beaufort in the Championship Semi Final Sunday evening.

KOR took the lead after 30 seconds with a great goal from Aimee, Beaufort were in fighting form and came back with 2 points. Aimee scored another point after we had a few misses with two more points following  from Aoife.

Beaufort battled on and our backs worked hard to keep them from scoring. Molly played outstanding in goals and saved a penalty just before halftime. At half time we were down by 1 point but that made our girls more determined for the win.

Second half our girls came back strong along with Taylor Kate just back from injury, our backs played great, especially Caragh and Mia who had an outstanding game. We had more great scores from Aimee, Aoife, Lexi and Allie. Great team effort by all  and they go on to the Final.

Final score :

Kerins O’Rahillys 6-11

Beaufort 1-9
