Seniors:

Following our elimination from the intermediate championship last weekend, the focus now will be on the senior county championship which commences on the weekend of 14th/15th September.

We will compete as part of St Brendans divisional side along with Austin Stacks, Ardfert, Churchill, St Pats & John Mitchels.

St Brendans have been drawn against South Kerry in the opening round which will be played on Sunday 15th @ 4 pm in Austin Stack Park as part of a double header with Mid Kerry taking on Dingle in the second game.

The format for this year’s championship is the old “ Christy Ring “ system whereby the 8 winners of round 1 will progress to round 2A and will play each other in the 2nd round – the winners of these games will progress to the quarter finals. The losers progress to round 3A.

The opening round 1 losers will progress to round 2B where the 8 teams will play off with the winners progressing to round 3A where they will play the losers of the round 2A games – the losers in this round will exit the championship having lost two games.

Lotto:

The lotto jackpot currently stands at €13,700 not having been won since June ‘22 – we are extremely grateful to all who play weekly through the local outlets, online or annually via Friends of Strand Road.

Tickets, as usual are available from – Rock St PO, Betty’s Bar, Jimmy’s Foodstore or the Klub – online players can play at the following link: https://play.clubforce.com/play_newa.asp?ll_id=328#Anchor

Juvenile Academy:

Academy continued on a windy Sunday morning in Ballyrickard where each age group enjoyed a fun filled training session while learning key skills. It was great to see such big numbers in attendance despite the weather.

We would like to wish everyone returning to school all the best for the year ahead.
